Program Description While a capstone experience is not required for the degree, all students must complete an internship. The majority of students finish the program in two years, completing 49 required credits. Students study a generalist curriculum rather than specializing in a single topic area. Students participate in residency weekends twice a year, which mix networking, mentoring, and conference-style learning.

 

What will I Learn?

The curriculum of the William and Mary online MBA is built around the design thinking approach, which is a complex set of steps used by teams to solve design problems through iterative prototyping and testing. All courses use design thinking approaches to attack real-world business problems. The curriculum does not offer any concentration areas.

The required courses begin with a core course titled Renaissance Manager, followed by topic-specific courses in Financial and Managerial Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Business Analytics and Operations. Students then delve into Global Managerial Economics, Finance, Marketing and Integrated Technology. They further practice decision-making skills in courses in Leadership for the 21st Century and Strategy.

All students complete the Revolutionary Leader Practicum.
