This small, public, historically black university in Fayetteville, North Carolina, offers an online Master of Business Administration degree program. Program Description The program’s 39 credits can be completed within 24 months.  A capstone is required but there is no required internship or practicum.  Students can specialize within 12 concentration areas: Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Digital Enterprise and Cloud Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Healthcare Management, International Business, Management,  Marketing;, Project Management and Supply Chain Management.  

 

What will I Learn?

Introductory courses include Foundations of Finance, Principles of Business Statistics, Fundamentals of Marketing and Fundamentals of Economics. Students are also required to take Principles of Accounting, Leading Organizations and Business Analytics.

The compulsory curriculum also includes Managerial Accounting, Business & Society, Managerial Economics and Financial Management. Students also take Data Analytics and Modern Marketing.

The culminating experience of the program is the capstone course in Business Policy & Strategy. 

Students can choose to specialize in one of the following concentrations: Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Digital Enterprise and Cloud Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Healthcare Management, International Business, Management, Marketing, Project Management and Supply Chain Management.

Students finish their degree within 24 months and pay $560 per credit for a total of 39 credits, or just under $22,000.00 for the entire degree.

How does the program fit into my life?

All courses are taught asynchronously, meaning that students are not required to attend online classes at a set time. Instead, students have to do certain online activities every week and have plenty of chances to talk with their teacher and other students. 

Online activities can include, but are not limited to, watching online lectures, completing interactive practice exercises, and participating in online group discussions. No campus visit is required. Time-to-degree for the majority of students is 24 months. With start dates in the fall, spring, and summer  the program is accessible to students wishing to begin their studies quickly.  Most students complete the program part-time and work full-time as well.
