How does the program fit into my life?
Courses are a blend of learning models. Synchronous online learning occurs when a group of students and their teacher meet at the same time and place in virtual space. Asynchronous online learning allows students to complete course work at their own pace, rather than at a predetermined time each week. Video lectures, online discussion boards, and interactive exercises are all potential components of online learning materials.
No on-campus presence is expected. Students take an average of 2.5 years to finish the program. The program admits new students three times a year, at the beginning of the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
Howard University’s business school has a long history of serving minority students, helping aspiring professionals to build networks with recruiters and industry leaders, and graduating highly skilled managers. The online MBA program follows in this tradition, combining comprehensive coursework with exemplary student services, flexibility and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Prospective applicants looking for opportunities to specialize deeply in one subject area may find the Howard program less attractive, as it is designed to provide a well-rounded general program of study featuring small class sizes.
