What will I Learn?

Indiana-University Bloomington’s online MBA program curriculum is characterized by a balance of core courses and required experiences offered alongside extensive elective opportunities. The core curriculum begins with courses in Quantitative Analysis, Accounting and Financial Management. Students deepen their understanding by studying Economics,  Developing Strategic Capabilities, and Business Law and Ethics. They apply skills to specific niches within business during courses in Strategic Marketing Management, Operations Management, Digital Technology and Innovation, and Organizational Behavior. As a capstone to the program, students participate in the Integrative Live Case Experience course, applying their skills in a practicum-style case study working with a real company. How does the program fit into my life?

Students attend online classes at preset times each week. These synchronous classes allow for opportunities to build connections with classmates, and build professional networks. The program accepts new students in the Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer semesters. Students are required to visit campus twice during the program. They visit Kelley at the beginning of the program to gain an orientation to the degree and its approaches, and then visit again at the end of the program to gain an intensive experience of a particular subject area.  The program also includes optional global immersion experiences where students travel to a global or domestic location to work on a real-world problem. Students also have the opportunity to complete optional internships, which need to be accounted for in any scheduling considerations.

Students complete the program within 2 years. Most students complete their studies on a full-time basis.
