Program Description This degree requires 42 credits of coursework. Students do not complete a capstone course or other culminating experience. There are no formal requirements for an internship or practicum. Most students complete the program within 3-4 years. 8 concentration areas are offered: Accounting Analytics, Forensic Accounting, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Investment and Private Wealth Management, Modern Financial Technology (FinTech) and Strategic Leadership.

 

What will I Learn?

The Rutgers program begins with non-credit introductory seminars covering Excel Skills, Managerial Economics, and The Story of Business.

The required MBA curriculum consists of courses in Accounting for Managerial Decisions, Financial Management, and Business Analytics. Students must also take Strategic Management, Foundations of Leadership & Teamwork, and Operations & Supply Chain. They learn more about the role of the manager in Fundamentals of Talent Management, Managing in the Global Economy, and Information Technology Strategy & Project Management. Finally, they participate in Marketing Management and Financial Reporting & Analysis. 

Students can choose to specialize in one of the following concentrations: Accounting Analytics, Forensic Accounting, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Investment and Private Wealth Management, Modern Financial Technology (FinTech) and Strategic Leadership.

How does the program fit into my life?

This program does not feature classes that meet on a weekly basis since it employs an asynchronous learning paradigm. Students instead do assignments on their own time each week. Watching video lectures, completing projects, meeting with group members or instructors, or honing skills in various ways are examples of these activities. Participants are not required to visit campus in person at any time during the program unless they choose to. This program allows you to start your studies whenever you like, with three beginnings each year in the fall, spring, and summer.

Students finish the curriculum in three to four years. The majority of students complete the program part-time.
