Program Description Requiring students to complete 33 credits, the program highlights computer scence techniques. Two concentration options are offered. Students can choose to complete an optional capstone experience. Students can choose to participate in an optional internship. The program follows an accelerated course schedule, allowing students to graduate faster and reap the benefits of their degree.

 

What will I Learn?

The emphasis throughout the program is training for careers in digital forensics, cyber investigations, security policy development, compliance data management systems, security data security analysis, risk management, and network security.

The program is a generalist program following an accelerated course schedule. Students take courses in Network and Cloud Security, Project Management, Risk Management, and Cyber Law and Investigations. Deeper approaches are learned in Cybersecurity Auditing, Research Methods for Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Advanced Persistent Threats, and Cyber Operations. They learn key techniques in Cryptography Fundamentals, Digital Forensics, Compliance and Cybersecurity and Security Frameworks. The most current challenges and innovations in cybersecurity are covered in Special Topics. 

Students can choose between taking two approved electives or a capstone experience. The capstone can take the form of an internship, research project, or thesis.

The program is an NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE).
