What will I Learn?

This is a generalist curriculum that covers basic and advanced topics in business. While the Citadel may attract a student cohort with military experience or connections, the courses in the MBA do not have a particular military influence or outlook. All students must take a no-cost seminar in Principled Leadership during their first semester.

Core courses include two courses of MBA Essentials, a course in Accounting for Executives and a course in Managing Innovation. Students learn the roles and responsibilities of the managerial role in Corporate Financial Management, Ethical Leadership and Organization Behavior and Information Technology Management. They gain top-level functional aptitude in Strategic Marketing and Quantitative Methods for Operations Management.

Students may take six credits of electives. No concentrations are offered.

How much will the program cost?

Students finish their degree within 2-3 years and pay $$ 695 per credit for a total of 36 credits, or just over $25,000.00 for the entire degree.

How does the program fit into my life?

The program is built on an accelerated model and students should expect to work intensively throughout their MBA. All courses are asynchronous, meaning that students complete activities on their own schedule. This structure also helps students to fit MBA studies into busy work and home lives.

The program generally takes 2-3 years to complete. Students can begin at one of six entry points through the course of the year.

Summary

With an affordable cost-to-degree and a flexible curriculum offering multiple start dates per year and all-asynchronous coursework, this program will be attractive to the driven and focused applicant, particularly if he or she has a military background. Courses are reviewed regularly for quality and the program revolves around the goal of helping students build strong networks and apply what they learn on the job. Students can combine their MBA coursework with coursework for certificates in Technical Project Management and Leadership.
