Program Description This degree involves completion of 48 credits of study and can lead to one of seven possible concentrations. Students complete a culminating course to synthesize and expand upon the knowledge gained during the program. No internship or practicum requirements exist. The program emphasizes analytics, healthcare administration, and taxation.

 

What will I Learn?

Students learn to think critically and make sound business decisions while also developing foundational competencies in areas such as accounting, economics, finance, leadership, operations management, business analytics, information technology, and marketing.

At the outset of the curriculum, students take introductory classes such as Foundations in Finance, Foundations in Economics, Data Analysis and Foundations in Accounting. They build strategic thinking practices in Organizations, Marketing Foundations, and Accounting for Managerial Decisions. Spirited discussion occurs in Corporate Legal and Social Responsibility and Decision Models.

Advanced topics are covered in Managerial Economics, Financial Management and Information and Technology Management. Leaders learn to build effective teams and practices in Strategic Management, Leadership and Organizations, Marketing for Managers and Management of Operations. A distinctive feature of the curriculum is the required course in Managing Across Cultures. All students complete a capstone course. 

Students can choose to specialize in one of the following concentrations: Health Care Administration, Health Care Finance, Health Care Operations, Health Care Policy and Regulation, Marketing, Corporate Taxation, and Individual Taxation.
