Program Description Focusing both on the functional skills of business and the role of business in the community, this MBA program offers a distinctive Catholic worldview. Sustainability, strategy, ethics and leadership are foundational to the 45-credit curriculum, completed within 18-24 months. Students specialize in either Marketing or Business Analytics. 

 

What will I Learn?

The University of Dayton’s business program equips graduates with the foundational knowledge necessary to run a firm ethically, including finance, economics, and integrated strategy.

Courses in the program can be divided into three groups. Finance topics are covered in Financial Accounting, Introduction to Managerial Accounting, Principles of Finance, Managerial Economics, Principles of Economics, and Corporate Finance.

The nuts and bolts of operations and decision-making are explored in Statistical Analysis for Business Decisions, Principles of Operations Management, Information Technology and Systems, Information Systems and Business Decisions, Business Analytics, Performance Measurement and Control Systems Perspective, Operational Effectiveness and Information Systems and Business Decisions.

Finally, students discuss the people-oriented aspects of business in Principles of Marketing, Principles of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior, Marketing Management, Principled Organization: Integrating Faith, Ethics and Work, and Leadership, Strategy and Stakeholder Management.

Students bring together their learning and apply it to a real-world problem in an Integrative Project.

Students finish their degree within 18-24 months and pay $1430 per credit for a total of 45 credits, or just over $64,000.00 for the entire degree.

How does the program fit into my life?

Students complete the program within 18-24 months. Students can start the program in  January, April, July, or October. Most students complete the program on a full-time basis. All classes are synchronous, meaning that students attend live online classes.

All students must attend at least two in-person immersion experiences, one of which will take place in Dayton, Ohio, and the other at another domestic hub. During these in-person experiences, students will participate in group workshops, learn from expert guest speakers, and network with peers and employers. Applicants to the Dayton program should take this obligation into account when considering how this program will fit into their lives.
