Even though the program doesn’t require a capstone project, every student complete an experiential learning requirement, which can include an internship. The majority of students complete the program within two years. Students don’t focus on one area of study, but instead take a generalist course of study.

 

What will I Learn?

The UF online MBA is a generalist degree. No concentrations are offered.

The required curriculum introduces students to finance and economics through courses in Economics of Business Decisions, Financial Management, Financial and Managerial Accounting, and Entrepreneurs and Venture Finance.

Students learn to analyze and solve business problems in Introduction to Managerial Statistics, Operations Management, and Organizational Behavior.

They learn essentials of marketing and communication in Brand Management, Professional Writing and Problems and Methods in Marketing Management.

All students are required to complete an experiential learning component. To build practical skills and develop relationships with peers and mentors, students choose from a residency in Washington, an on-campus elective in Gainesville, an online business simulation, or a Global Immersion Experience, which involves travel to another city.
