What will I Learn?

A distinctive feature of the curriculum at the University of Iowa is the required course in Data and Decisions, underlining the program’s evidence-based approach. Students learn more about interpreting financial data in required courses in Corporate Financial Reporting, Managerial Economics and Managerial Finance. Highly relevant issues in current business are covered in Operations and Supply Chain and in Foundations in Strategy.  Further approaches are studied in Marketing Management and in Management in Organizations. The capstone course is entitled Business Integration. 

Students can choose to specialize in one of the following concentrations: Marketing, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship or Management.

How much will the program cost?

How does the program fit into my life?

Students build connections with peers and instructors through synchronous classes, scheduled each week and conducted “live” online. Online MBA participants do not need to visit the campus in-person at any point during the program unless they wish. Offering three starts per year, in Fall, Spring, and Summer, this program allows you to begin your studies at your convenience.

Students should be aware that the program requirement of 45 credits is higher than in some programs. However, the UIowa aims to facilitate learning and work-life balance through accelerated 8 week courses, enabling students to focus intensively on one subject and take short breaks from studies as needed.
