What will I Learn?

Students in this program gain analytical skills to become an effective digital forensics examiner,. They also explore how to protect data when transferred between different systems. Finally, they learn professional skills and ethical context to perform effectively in fighting cybercrime.  The program is designed for students with minimal technical background, and is designed to prepare students for industry certification.

This program has a distinctive structure in that all students are required to take courses for one track or concentration: Cyber Security Analyst. Students then must choose two out of the following three available concentrations: Ethical Hacking, Computer Forensics, and Secure Networks.  In total, students take six courses to fulfill their concentration requirements.

In addition to concentration requirements, students must take the following core courses: Analytical Foundations of Cyber Security, Computing Foundations of Cyber Security, Vulnerability Assessment, Emerging Threats and Defenses, and Human Factors in Cyber Security. All students are required to complete a Capstone project.
