What will I Learn?

Successful degree holders will have the skills necessary to assume positions of leadership in organizations that are both diverse and welcoming. They will be able to spot and assess promising business possibilities, develop and maintain distinct advantages in the marketplace, and coordinate successfully inside their enterprises. They will be able to establish and sustain an inspiring plan for their own professional and personal growth via the use of critical thinking and analytical reasoning.

As a precursor to the core curriculum, students enroll in Essentials of Financial Analysis and Essentials of Economic and Statistical Analysis. Students with business backgrounds may choose to take a qualifying exam to be exempted from these courses, which can then be replaced with additional electives.

Students then begin structured thinking about their career goals and academic success in Defining your Plan for Success: The MBA Mindset.

The core courses comprise Leading a Diverse and Dynamic Workforce, Making Informed Managerial Decisions and Developing New Products and Services. Students are also required to take Competing Strategically in a Global Environment and Navigating Change amid Uncertainty.

All students take a capstone course entitled Refining your Plan for Success.

The remainder of required credits are earned through elective credits. Although electives allow students to explore special topics in depth, there are no specific concentration areas offered.
