What will I Learn?
Graduates of this program will be able to perform business analysis and develop effective business plans based on theory and practice from a variety of disciplines. Students will be able to employ leadership theory to assess business circumstances and provide recommendations based on theory. Students will learn to discover relevant data sources, employ analytical tools and methodologies, and perform data-driven studies to solve key business challenges, pinpoint solutions, and motivate action throughout the course. They will also develop the habit of identifying and assessing the ethical, global, and societal aspects of conducting business as an organization.
The core of the curriculum begins with Introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting, followed by Data Analysis for Managers, Foundations in Marketing and Foundations in Operations Management. Students look at specialized contexts in Foundations of Business Law, Foundations in Finance and Managerial Economics. They learn leadership and project management skills in Strategic Planning for Personal and Program Success, Beyond the MBA: Application of Principles, Theories and Practice and Strategy Formulation and Organizational Design.
Further skills in critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making are practiced in Managerial Leadership and Productivity, Administrative Control, Financial Management and Business Analytics: Transforming Data into Decisions. Information Systems Analysis and Marketing Management round out the curriculum.
All students are required to complete a Capstone Project and Final Presentation.
